Mateo Micucci

Mateo Micucci is a U.S. Navy veteran born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, whose background provides firsthand insight into conflict, migration, and regional security dynamics. Prior to joining Integra Capital, he served as a Research Consultant at the Institute of the Americas, where he co-authored a strategic policy report examining critical minerals and energy security across the Western Hemisphere.

Previously, Mateo served as a Military Fellow in the office of Congressman Darrell Issa, supporting casework involving refugees and asylum seekers. He also volunteered with the Joel Nafuma Refugee Center in Rome, assisting displaced populations and contributing to humanitarian initiatives.

As Vice President, Washington Operations & Government Relations at Integra Capital, Mateo supports the firm’s strategic priorities across critical minerals, energy security, geopolitics, and international investment. Working closely with the Head of Government Affairs & Investor Relations, he provides strategic policy analysis, research, and subject-matter expertise to support government engagement, strengthen relationships with public- and private-sector stakeholders, and advance the firm’s long-term initiatives throughout the Americas. His work focuses on assessing geopolitical developments, policy trends, and strategic opportunities that enhance resilient supply chains, energy security, and regional economic growth.

Mateo holds a Master of International Affairs from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego. His expertise includes migration, comparative politics, Latin American security, and quantitative policy analysis. Fluent in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to complex policy challenges and international engagement across the Western Hemisphere.
