José Luis Manzano, founder and Chairman of Integra Capital, was one of the featured speakers at the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) Annual Conference, held at the OECD headquarters in Paris on December 16 and 17, 2025.
The Paris Conference brings together international leaders from the government, business, and academic sectors to exchange perspectives on the main global economic, social, and environmental challenges.
Over two days, the forum featured panels and discussions on global challenges, the impact of artificial intelligence, the energy transition, climate change, and sustainable finance, among other strategic topics.
Dr. Manzano closed the event with an interview conducted by Helima Croft, in which he shared his vision of the situation in Argentina and the region, drawing on his experience as an Argentine businessman with extensive regional expertise and as an active participant in the energy transition. In this context, he emphasized that Argentina possesses the natural resources, talent, and conditions necessary to attract international investment and contribute to meeting the growing global energy needs.
In the conversation, titled “Navigating Risk, Power, and Profit,” Manzano focused on Argentina’s potential for developing critical minerals, such as lithium and copper, in a context of growing global concern about the concentration of supply chains and increasing trade tensions. In this regard, he stressed that Argentina has the necessary conditions to strategically position itself in the global supply chain, especially given the efforts of the United States and Europe to diversify their sources of supply.
Manzano also underscored the importance of dialogue and international cooperation in a scenario marked by uncertainty and geopolitical tension, noting that understanding between countries is key to advancing toward sustainable solutions and preserving global stability.
